1. Who we are

The Psych Tutor (Psychology AI) mobile application (the "App") is published by:

• Google Play (Android) — ByteForge Mobile LLC, Wyoming, USA.
• Apple App Store (iOS) — ByteCraft Solutions SARL, Meknes, Morocco.

Both companies are wholly owned by Karim Ziat and act as the data controller for their respective platform's build of the App. For data protection requests, contact us at [email protected] (Android) / [email protected] (iOS).

2. Age policy

The App is intended for users aged 13 and over worldwide, and 16 and over in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and any other jurisdiction where the local age of digital consent is 16. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under those ages. The App's content discusses mental disorders, therapy, and substance-related concepts at AP / college level, which is one reason for the 12+ App Store age rating.

3. The App does not require an account

The App works without you signing in. We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, photo, or any other identifying detail during normal use.

4. What we collect and why

a) Anonymous product analytics — via Mixpanel

We use Mixpanel to understand how the App is used so we can fix bugs and improve the experience. Mixpanel assigns each install a random "distinct ID" — it is not tied to your real identity.

The events we send Mixpanel describe app activity, not message content. Examples:

• App lifecycle (App Opened, App Backgrounded).
• Screen and tab navigation.
• Camera / gallery flow (a question or diagram was scanned, the image's byte length, whether it was flagged low-quality — never the image itself).
• Solve attempts (a SHA-256 hash of language || image bytes, used to recognize repeats — the image cannot be reconstructed from the hash).
• Tutor activity (message length, conversation length, whether a problem context is attached — never the message text).
